WWII Japanese Pilot custom minifig by JasBrick
Looks like Jasbrick is back on form with another great custom minifig, the sword and headscarf are what really make this custom minifig stand out and the expression on the custom minifigs face is really cool too. the custom minifig is of a “The Divine Wind” Japanese Pilot wearing Rising Sun headscarf and armed with Nambu pistol and ceremonial Katana. These japanese pilots re the Kamakazi, interestingly they still wore helmets, which begs the question, if you’re going to crash deliberately head first into an aircraft carrier, why would you need a helmet?
i really like this ladder its just really well considered, and deliberate it works and looks great and seems like a really simple construction. had to share it.
The Imperial gunners from starwars had the coolest helmets, and here we have a custom Lego minifig version, that interestingly doesn’t sit on the minifigs head but replaces it altogether, personally I would have prefered it if the helmet were removable from the minifig but better that someone has tried to make the imprerial gunners helmet than no one giving it a shot.
Here we have an off licence being heldup as the robber points a gun at the attendent, in the back ground you have soda machines and a CCTV camera, whats amazing is the whole thing is made of Lego and stereotypes abound, the robber is brown, the attendant has a turban, is Lego contributing to racial stereotypes?
These are Enlighten minifigs, enlighten are a clone brand of Lego, everything is identical except,1 they are badly made from lower quality plastic. 2 they are dirt cheap, literally a few pence for a big box and 3. they offer a military theme, including military helmets, but as you can see, clearly its not nearly anywhere as good as Lego and you’re better off making one of your own minifig helmets, or getting one of the minifig helmets from custom minifigs store minifigshop.co.uk
