The shoulder armour works well with the arm covers, the torso print blends in, and we really like the armour leg plates. He is wearing a coat and is carrying a Japanese sword.

Well done!

Frank Castle aka The Punisher is a one man army and a vigilante who conducted a one-man anti-crime campaign throughout New York City. His actions brought him into conflict with several super heroes including Spider-man and Daredevil.

Here are some of The Punisher’s more famous guises made by Hammerstein NWC using a great combination of LEGO and custom pieces.

Punisher Captain America – Marvel teased the Punisher as the new captain when Steve Rogers took a dive.

FrankenCastle – When Daken beat Frank and cut off both his arms and head most people thought it was the end for the Punisher, however Morbius and the Legion of Monsters had other ideas.

The Punisher – This is pretty much how I see the Punisher in my head, without his 70′s costume and tooled up for action.

Punisher Noir – From the Marvel Noir series. The Mask was a nice touch. 1930′s Frank avenges his Fathers death!

Punisher Angel - Not at all what you might think! Having committed suicide, Frank is given a second chance by his Rubbish Guardian Angel Gadriel who failed to save his family. Gifted supernatural powers and the greatest arsenal of Heaven, Frank sets out on a mission from God but then decides he’d rather just keep doing things his way…

Which is your favourite?

After a long wait which was down to the process of making a new mold, Arealight have just released six new helmets. They are the Trooper helmet, Combat helmet, Comm helmet, Pilot helmet, Hunter helmet, and Merc helmet. As well as being available in white so you can paint your own details on them, they are also available in a range of colours including Blue, Dark Gray, and Black.

The Merc helmet features quite a bit of detail including an antenna which is molded onto the helmet, and the breather part of the face is also detailed quite well and would look great for those Old Republic Mercenaries.

The Combat helmet is based off the trooper helmet from the Old Republic Trailer. The helmet has a great design and really does look fantastic.

These will be available online soon from your official Arealight reseller.

This StG44 looks amazing, however the process of making these is very time consuming to produce, with a defect rate higher than normal.

The mould is designed so that two colours can be injected one after the other. The plastic shrinks, so the entire gun would not fit into the second cavity. So you only include enough detail to “register” the gun to inject the grip and butt stock around. Since nothing is overmolded on the front of the gun, there is no need to cut a detailed cavity for it to sit into. This process saves lots of machine time.

Finally no military minifigure can leave on a mission without a BrickArms weapon.

The Nam Wreckin Crew is packed full of a range of must-have third party compatible LEGO pieces from a range of top designers. Inspired by the Dirty Dozen this team are the problem solvers for the US army.

The custom minifigures are a mix up of LEGO pieces from EclipseGrafx, Christo and Citizenbrick and work really well together. The guns, crates and most of the hats and helmets are by BrickArms.

The Team are Darryl “Heavy D” Payton, Tommy “Thumper” Johnson, Don “Tick Tock” Banner, Bob “Psycho” Busch, Ralph “Smokey” Polawski and are led by the ruthless Sergeant Frank Statton III.

A great photograph, well thought out storyline and some very nice minifigs!
