These are three variations on the same stovepipe hat, Lego already produce these, but it looks like v&a is looking to custom make some of these minifig hats for his steam punk style vignettes and minifigs, he’s planning to use Delrin plastic to machine them and is trying to find the best size, I reckon these would also be perfect for anyone interested in western /civil war minifigs, you could use them for Abe Lincoln, or even a circus ring master or clown, i think these will work well.

LOEM Inquisitor Group by JasBrick
I’m guessing this is warhammer inspired, and it actually works really, well, the skull robot is brilliant, whilst in theory the custom sword is really cool, personally its not my cup of tea, the double cross bow and the book look brilliant, i have to say Jasbrick’s custom minifigs get better each time I see a new one, I’m guessing Hazel might have a challenge on his hands!

League of Extraordinary Minifigs Luke Steamwalker custom minifig by JasBrick
A rather interesting interpretation by Jasbrick of Luke Skywalker in Lego. the monocle which is fast becoming Jasbricks signature is really ornate and looks great, the modified brickarms rifle looks like a harpoon gun of some sort, and naturally a Luke Skywalker Lego custom minifig needs a lightsaber and here you see a standard Lego light saber, and thats fine, if that was customized, it would have been overkill.

(steampunk custom Darth vader minifig by rescator)
This is a cool steam punk themed darthvader cutom minifig, check out how the signature darthvader mask has been recreated with a medeival helmet and a Lego neckscarf, I can’t pin point the lego head used, but it looks like this minifig is totally purist, using only Lego parts.

(Gordon’s Threewheeler by c-mdaniel)
There’s a term used to describe those of the lego community who after a long hiatus (growing up) have to leave lego behind, before rediscovering the joy of the plastic bricks. At this point the Lego fan doesn’t have that much lego, you have to start from scratch, a ‘dark age’ if you like, which is precisely what happend here, this MOC and minifig set, is a direct result of the makers 2nd dark age, with only a few parts left to make anything from, still its a pretty cool and creative moc with some nice detail.

(SteamPack custom minifig by v&a steamworks)
Whilst the minifig here isn’t totally custom our unique, what i really like is the custom minifig scale jetpack, which was designed on one of the more popular Lego customization themes its unique in that it converts modern inventions into a amercian victorian inventor, steam-esque look. It works really well in that Lego has made parts for both space and technology as well as western-esq, victorian-esq, this basically means thatyou can make all sorts of custom minifigs along this theme and have some real fun!

Custom MiniFig was created on the 13th of December 2008, I created this Lego Fan Blog after seeing a custom MiniFig in a newspaper article. As a kid I remember wanting custom Lego minifigs, and my grand father used to get a felt pen and draw on Lego MiniFigs to keep me happy, this was long before Lego placed decals on their minifigs, and the minifigs Only had a flat colour, now Lego has minifigs designed for some of the best films created, including, Star Wars, Speed Racer, Sponge Bob Square Pants and Indiana Jones to name a few.
I hadn’t realized that there was such an active and close knit Lego community and the main reason for my building this site is to share and spread the good word about Lego, no matter what your age.
Custom MiniFig as the name suggests is about customizing lego minifigs, we’ll leave the MOC’s (My Own Creations- Lego Speak for self designed constructions) for the other sites, this site is dedicated to fans of that iconic Lego Man and the infinite possibilities presented by the worlds most timeless and famous toy.
