CombatBrick Weapons

We are pleased to announce that CombatBrick have just started their own line of injection molded guns. Be sure to read our exclusive interview with Alex, the founder.

They are designed using leading CAD software and manufactured using injection molding industry standards. They are designed to be compatible with leading brands of brick toys.

There are currently 24 different pieces divided into USSR, USA, WWII, and Modern Warfare. Here are some of our favourites:

The CombatBrick M16A2 With M203 Grenade Launcher is part of the M4 carbine family of firearms tracing its lineage back to earlier carbine versions of the M16 rifle, all based on the original AR-15 rifle designed by Eugene Stoner The M4 is a shorter and lighter variant of the M16A2 assault rifle.

The CombatBrick SVD Dragunov Sniper Rifle was designed as a squad support weapon, since according to Soviet and Soviet-derived military doctrines the long-range engagement ability was lost to ordinary troops when submachine guns and assault rifles were adopted.

The CombatBrick RPG-7 Russian Rocket Propelled Grenade is a Soviet portable, unguided, shoulder-launched, anti-tank rocket-propelled grenade launcher. The RPG-7 was first delivered to the Soviet Army in 1961 and deployed at a squad level.

These are all 100% compatible and made to the highest standards.

CombatBrick Interview

CombatBrick offer a variety of Army builder model kits, custom LEGO minifigures and toy guns. They have an online store dedicated to custom LEGO Military creations. We decided to catch up with Alex to find out how his year had been and see what his plans for this year are. Alex runs the business by himself along with a demanding full time job and a family. So all his work is done in those few, “free” precious hours.

How was 2012 for CombatBrick, and what were your highlights?

2012 was the most exciting year for me, since it was the first year I introduced my custom, injection molded guns to the community. But it took all 2011 to prepare for it: learning about injection molding, computer aided design (CAD), LEGO, LEGO fan community etc. And finally receiving the first box from my manufacturer with pre-production run of my toy guns was a defining moment.

Combat Brick SMG-45 Sub-Machine Gun

What were your favourite pieces you released in 2012?

One of my most favorite guns is SMG-45 Sub-Machine Gun, just a very cool, futuristic looking gun. And I am very proud of bringing to LEGO life the WWII Japanese Type-99 machine gun. It might not be the hot-selling item but it just looked like a fine piece of engineering that I wanted to.

What can we expect to see from CombatBrick this year, any sneak previews?

I am right in the middle of releasing a new, 3rd batch of my custom guns. It’s a themed release: Sniper Rifle. I am about to announce that it will feature an infamous British Sniper Rifle.

Combat Brick Long Range Precision Lord Rifle

I would like to have 6 releases this year if I could. And also diversify my offerings. Besides guns I would like to offer other LEGO compatible toy items – all Military themed of course. I am working with a couple well known Military builders to bring to life a set of various pieces for MOC/diorama builders, not guns but rather supporting pieces. It has proven to be a lot of fun to work on a crowd-sourced project.

We wish Alex all the best for the future and you can visit his site at www.combatbrick.com or the CombatBrick UK reseller.

CombatBrick Assault Rifles

CombatBrick is a relatively new supplier of high quality LEGO compatible weapons and designs them using CAD software before manufacturing them using injection molding. The first thing that is obvious with these new releases is that the design is key with everything they do right down to the small details. In some guns the stock is an important feature to compromise as it gives the character to the gun. You can see designs from other brands where the stock is shortened so that the minifigure can hold it straight, but that can ruin the design and make it look ugly.

Here are the latest Assault Rifles:

CombatBrick Advanced Assault Rifle AAR.

CombatBrick British Assault Rifle L85A2.

CombatBrick Special Forces Assault Rifle SFAR.
